As Promised

Here's the cards that were the Make 'n Takes for my Open House on Saturday.

This card was done on Whisper White cardstock with accents of Taken with Teal. I used the Bud Basics stamp set for the main image and Print Pattern and Itty Bitty Backgrounds for the background. Curvy Verses for the saying. Pretty in Pink and Basic Black Classic inks.

The other card below was done on Cameo Coral cardstock along with Very Vanilla and Creamy Caramel. I stamped the petals from Pick A Petal on Very Vanilla cardstock using Cameo Coral ink and then cut them out. I then sponged the edges of the petals with Creamy Caramel Ink, I adhered them onto Very Vanilla cardstock after sponging the edges of it also with Creamy Caramel ink.. Then stamped my greeting from Quick Thinking and adhered it onto Creamy Caramel cardsock and then it all went onto Cameo Coral. This card was the favorite of the day. Quick, Easy, but appealing!

I hope these two cards bring you even just a little bit of inspiration.

Don't Forget

I am continuing my monthly Birthday Card making class. I hold these on the 1st Monday of every month. The next class is August 6th from 7 to 8. I know it's the Civic Holiday, but why can't we still stamp! Everyday is a good day to stamp!

We'll make 5 simple birthday cards in an hour. This will keep you prepared for every birthday each month. Cost to attend $15. In order to keep to the one hour schedule, no children please.

Please check my website http://www.inkinitup.com for a listing of other events and Opportunities.

I blew it again

Ok, I know I was supposed to post pictures of the Make 'n Take from yesterday's Open House! I'm sorry. I didn't have a chance. I promise. Pictures will be up tomorrow.

Canada Day Weekend

Since my husband wont be going to Chicago with me on holidays we took a short little vacation to Niagara Falls over the long Canada Day weekend. We stayed in a nice little Bed & Breakfast called Villa Gardenia. Here's a picture of our room.

If you're ever looking for a place to stay in Niagara Falls. I recommend Villa Gardenia. The hosts were great, breakfast was really nice and the room was extremely comfortable. It's only about a 2 minute drive from the falls too (unless you try getting there after the fireworks on Canada Day!)

Here's a picture of us by the falls. It was hot, but it was nice to get away for a couple days.

I'm back!

I've been MIA from my blog for a while I know, and I'm sorry! But I have finally found some time to STAMP!

Stamping has been on the back burner for me for a while, but that is all changing with the new Stampin' Up! year. The start of the new year means two things. A new catalog with lots of new stamps and accessories, AND a new opportunity to earn Stampin' Up!'s incentive trip.

This year the trip is to Hawaii! I want that trip so bad! I would love to take my husband to Hawaii and thank him for his amazing support!

Back to the stamping...

Next week I am on Holidays. I'll be going to Chicago to visit family. I made two gift items to take with me. I'd like to come up with 2 more, but I'm not sure I have time.

This one is a gift for my niece. She turned 13 on the 1st of July. This I think just suits her personality.

I figured it was about time I use this retired paper from a couple years ago. Oh, and did you notice the eyelets through the tin? That's thanks to my Crop-a-dile! It punches through these tins like they were butter!

Inside I've put a covered notebook, a matching pen and I will try to find other little goodies to include as well.

The next gift I've completed is for my mother. A few years ago she handed over her old black and white photos from when she was a kid. She said I would do something with them before she would. Well this is what I did. I sure hope she likes it.

This is a (now retired) Saddle Stitch book kit from Stampin' Up! I kept this really simple only using a bit of hodgepodge, some of my favorite Au Chocolat designer paper along with some ribbon and twill tape.

I have lots more projects in my head to work on. I'll post those when they're completed. Have a great week everyone!
