Do you know the name of this stamp set?

Here's a card made with a stamp set that doesn't get used enough I think. If you can tell me the name of this set (no peaking, you're on the honour system here!) I will send you a free little gift.

I will send a gift to everyone who posts the correct answer before Monday, March 5th. Post your guess in the comments, and you must include your email address. Guessers who do not include their email address will be out of luck - sorry.

Enjoy the card.

Wonder what I've been up to?

I've been stamping! Yes, that's right. Stamping! Imagine that! I'm making swap cards for the Holland Michigan Spring Seminar. It's in 2 weeks so I'm stamping like mad. There's usually about 400-500 Stampin' Up! Demonstrators at this event. I wont be swapping with all of them, but I hope to be able to swap with about 100. That means I have 100 cards to complete before March 2nd. Hope I can find the time this weekend!

Here's 2 of my swap cards. Enjoy.

Go Bears!

Ok, most of you who know me know that I am not much into sports. But I can't help but root for the home team, Chicago Bears today as they go head to head with the Indianapolis Colts! We're having a small family gathering today, but I'm sure the neighbors will hear us cheering!

Bittersweet

As I type my son is loading up the car with his belongings. He's moving out (again) tonight. I'm a little meloncholy about this because I've really enjoyed spending time with my son and grandson. I hadn't gotten to spend as much time as I would have liked with Jaiden so I have taken full advantage. It was nice having Jonathan around as well.

On the other hand - I get my house back. No more Cheerios or pizza sauce on my floor. No more midnight (and 2am and 4am etc.) feedings! No more need to turn the tv up to a volume over the screaming child.

And I'll be able to really get back to business. Starting tomorrow, stamping with Sandy - then who knows what I'll throw out there!

I am excited and sad at the same time. Does anyone understand that?

Next Card Class

Here's a card we'll be making at my next card class. It's actually a copy of a card made by Patty Bennett. Stampin' Up! posted it on Stamper's Showcase - one of the many features of the Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Web Site. I get alot of ideas from there!

I think this is a really cute card. What about you? Leave me a comment - and if you'd like information on my next class, Email Me

Oh, I forgot to mention that this card uses the Tagger's Dozen and Small Sayings stamp sets as well as the Loves Me Designer Series paper (which I am totally in love with!)

Sorry Folks!

I haven't had much time to write or be creative lately. My son and his baby have moved in with us. Right after all the stress we had with Christmas and my job at Dollarama. No time in between for rest.

I must say though that I am completely enjoying having my grandbaby here with me. My son too, but Jaiden is just the most adorable thing! here's a picture to prove it:

You can't argue with that now can you?!

I promise to get back to business soon here! In the meantime I hope you are having a fabulous New Year!

Stamp Tip

You can create some very original stamp art by using bleach as an "ink"
on your cards. You can place a folded paper towel onto a plastic plate
and then dampen it with household bleach. You then ink up your stamp
using the bleach and stamp your paper (this works really well on dark
coloured cardstock). It´s worth experimenting with this technique because
this works better on some cardstock than others. -- From Life Tips

Apple Picking

Last Sunday I had the distinct pleasure of taking my son and the grandkids apple picking. This is something my son and I did when he was young. Now we're carrying the tradition on with his kids - and I love it! It's been so long since I've been apple picking. I can't even explain why I enjoy it so much. The kids had a great time though and I am looking forward to finding time to do some cooking/baking with all these apples!

Here's some photos of our day.

Stamp tip of the week

Stamp Tip:

Yes, you can stamp on velvet! You will need to heat your iron on the
hottest setting. Lay your stamp on your work surface with the rubber side
UP. Then lay your velvet face down on the stamp. Lightly mist the back
of the velvet with water and then press the iron onto the back of the
velvet over the stamp. Hold the iron there for about 20 seconds without
moving the iron around and then lift the iron off. You will be left
with a lovely impression of the stamp!
